We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of commercial stair systems, railings, structural steel, and architectural metal projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
✓ Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
✓ Monitor submittals, engineering deliverables, fabrication timelines, and installation progress
✓ Support budget management, purchase orders, and cost tracking
✓ Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, labor resources, and subcontractors
✓ Help maintain project documentation, reports, and daily status updates
✓ Assist with OSHA-compliant safety initiatives and documentation
✓ Participate in quality control inspections and corrective action tracking
✓ Support client communications, progress meetings, and project updates
✓ Track contract requirements and assist with change order management
✓ Compile project reports, photos, and field documentation
What We're Looking For
✓ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
✓ 1-3 years of construction, project coordination, or related experience
✓ Experience in commercial construction or miscellaneous metals is a plus
✓ Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
✓ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
✓ Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management software (Procore experience preferred)
