We are hiring a Construction Assistant to provide support for all operational and project-related activities. This position is intended for students or new graduates in the field of construction management to provide developmental opportunities and prepare for leadership roles within the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist General Foreman and/or Superintendent and/or Project Manager with daily tasks.
  • Assist operations department in assessing jobsite readiness and project schedules.
  • Deliver work order packets to crews ahead of time, walking the job with them, obtaining answers to their pre-job questions.
  • Receive and manage completed work order packet documentation.
  • Enter completed work order packet data into customer's online portal.
  • Manage 811 locate tickets.
  • Assist in preparation of completion reports based on WINS input weekly.
  • Confirm quantities, receive, and code subcontractor/vendor invoices for job costing in AS400.
  • Assist in management of all material orders for crews.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of all supplies for the business.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of subcontractor agreements, if applicable.
  • Coordinate pre-employment and on-boarding steps and facilitate new hire orientation.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Associate's degree in construction management or related field, working towards a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years related experience in the construction industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer oriented; sense of urgency to resolve immediate issues.
  • Clear written and oral communication.
  • Excellent time management and ability to create systems to complete/track tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field from accredited university.
