Position Summary

The Consignment Delivery & Warehouse Specialist is a hands-on role that combines customer delivery, inventory management, and warehouse operations. You will deliver and replenish products at customer locations, maintain accurate inventory, support vending and consignment activities, and provide professional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and balancing hands-on work with customer interaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate a company-provided delivery van to transport products along designated delivery routes.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring items are handled safely and secured properly during transit.
  • Deliver and replenish products at customer locations while maintaining accurate delivery and inventory documentation.
  • Provide professional customer service by greeting customers and addressing delivery questions or concerns.
  • Manage inventory at customer locations and in the delivery vehicle, including recording restocked items in vending software and processing approved returns.
  • Reconcile inventory in vending machines and off-site consignment locations to support accurate stock levels, rotation, and replenishment.
  • Support vending equipment activities and communicate vending solution or product issues to the Vending Manager.
  • Assist with warehouse receiving, product storage, and preparation of products for upcoming deliveries.
  • Review vending packaging and package products as needed to support delivery activities.
  • Maintain vending spare parts inventory and order replacement parts as needed, including retrofit, repair, cabinet, and bin accessories.
  • Evaluate returned materials to determine whether items are unused and appropriate for restocking, then organize and process approved returns.
  • Keep the warehouse and delivery vehicle clean, organized, and ready for daily operations.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks and ensure required maintenance is completed.
  • Safely handle packages of various sizes and use equipment such as a pallet jack as needed.
  • Provide backup support for coordinator activities and administrative tasks as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Onsite position based in Sterling Heights, MI with daily travel to customer locations.
  • Extended periods of sitting while traveling along delivery routes.
  • Regular physical handling and movement of packages, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Monthly overnight travel is required, typically 2–4 nights.
  • Travel may include visits to manufacturing and heavy industrial sites and requires compliance with site-specific PPE requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

What You Bring

  • Associate's degree and 1–2 years of practical experience in an applicable role; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, assignments, and projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to become familiar with Balluff products.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of vending inventory software preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is not required.
