Job description

Location: Chester, VA 23836
Compensation: $15.00/hr.
Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Press Department, Ink Technician
Shift: Rotating shifts (every two weeks): 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, 11pm – 7am, with possible weekends (based on production).
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility is to assist with the preparation of inks, solvents, and varnish to customer specifications, filling, and replenishing supplies.
Essential Duties:
  • Prepare and maintain ink production equipment, including dispensing systems, pumps, solvents, and varnishes, ensuring proper setup and function per specifications.
  • Mix and adjust inks and solvents to maintain proper color and viscosity, ensuring consistent ink quality throughout production.
  • Replenish and monitor ink supply to presses, maintaining color accuracy and flow, and reporting any performance issues.
  • Manage inventory of inks, including consignment and work-off materials, and complete all related documentation accurately.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas, ensuring proper storage, grounding, and use of lifting equipment when necessary.
  • Support press operations by assisting the press crew and ensuring ink-related equipment is clean and ready for use.
  • Promote a positive work environment by adhering to quality standards, participating in training efforts, and supporting safety initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and skills required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Standing, lifting, pushing and pulling in the same general area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends (based on production)
  • Must have steel toe safety shoes with ESD rating
