What You'll Do

As a Life Enrichment Specialist, you'll help create meaningful experiences that support emotional, social, spiritual, cognitive, and physical well-being.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and facilitating activities and events
  • Encouraging resident participation and engagement
  • Supporting residents during outings and community events
  • Organizing parties, celebrations, and special events
  • Assisting with resident assessments and care planning
  • Promoting independence and resident choice
  • Building relationships with residents and families
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members
  • Supporting Byron's mission of fostering purpose-filled lives

Most importantly, you'll help residents continue living lives filled with meaning, connection, and enjoyment.


Job Type

Full time and part time available

Every other weekend and rotating holidays required

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Indiana State Drivers License with at least three years driving experience, and be comfortable driving residents in 15 passenger bus
  • Must be at least 25 years old

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in a life enrichment / activities role
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia, behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or other specialized populations.



Compensation details: 16-16.71 Hourly Wage
