Technology Solutions Specialist
Department: Machine Division (MAC)

Description
The Technology Solutions Specialist primarily consults with sales teams to drive the adoption of connected solutions to customers by helping build the "value story" which will maximize customer success and mutually beneficial results. This role is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of connected technology and the customers' business needs, determining where connectivity can provide value, proposing the best solution to meet customer needs, and creating a compelling customer success business case.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions
• Drives connected solution with existing and new customers supporting sales team
• Develops standard processes and support the administration of technology products to ensure that the needs of both internal and external customers are met
• Continually focuses on personal development to ensure consistent HOLT values
• Works closely with eSolutions Team and others within HOLT CAT to drive value, and ensure our approach supports HOLT's strategy
• Serves as connected technology expert to support and influence Customers, Sales and Service
• Support ProTech's technology products internal and customer training efforts by attending sessions as a resource to answer application/technical questions when applicable
• Develops and reports, best practices and results
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable Caterpillar products and product lines
• Position requires a strong understanding of applicable operating systems and applications
• Strong understanding of data transmissions methods cellular, satellite, and landline
• Strong understanding of data, data analysis and reporting
• Exceptional customer service, sales and relationship building skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skill to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
• Exceptional organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Associates Degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Three or more years of job-related experience required, five or more years preferred
Valid Driver's license required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None
Travel:
• Significant travel is to be expected, up 4 days a week to include up to 40% overnight
Physical Requirements:
• Significant amount of time spent sitting
• Movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
• Communication with customers and constant communication with co-workers
• Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Work Environment:
• This job is generally performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
• This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
• Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
• Noise level may be loud at times
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
• On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places.
• Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
