Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Digital Product Analyst to support the development of a new digital application. This role will work closely with the Product Manager and business stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translate business needs into clear technology requirements, and help move the product from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate has a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) background, understands the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and can effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. This person should be comfortable working on a net-new product, defining strong epics and features, and driving work forward with minimal direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner closely with the Product Manager to gather, analyze, and document business and product requirements
* Work directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and desired outcomes
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, simple business terms
* Help define and develop epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Apply SDLC knowledge to support requirements through development and delivery
* Collaborate with product, technology, UX, and other project stakeholders throughout the development process
* Use Jira and Confluence to document, organize, and manage requirements and product information
* Participate in discussions around how to approach and structure a net-new digital application
* Help ensure requirements are clear, actionable, and aligned with the overall product vision
* Take ownership of assigned work, identify next steps, and proactively move initiatives forward
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, systems analysis, or a related role
* Strong BSA/business analysis background with experience gathering and documenting requirements
* Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Experience working directly with business and technology stakeholders
* Ability to translate technical concepts into language that is easily understood by business partners
* Experience with Jira and Confluence
* Experience working in a product development environment, preferably involving new application development
* Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated and able to independently identify what needs to happen next and drive work forward
* Banking and/or financial services experience strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Figma and collaborating with UX/design teams
* Experience with AWS environments
* Experience working in a digital product organization
* Experience defining strong epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Experience launching or supporting net-new digital applications
* Prior experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
Ideal Candidate:
The strongest candidate will bring a BSA mindset with product-development experience-someone who can work comfortably with stakeholders, understand the technology and SDLC, ask the right questions, and turn ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements. They should be proactive, self-directed, and comfortable helping determine how to approach something that has never been built before.
