PK Safety is seeking a Confined Space Monitoring Supervisor to support our rapid expanding Digital Confined Space Monitoring solution - Wilma - across industrial projects and turnarounds in the Gulf Coast and across the country. This role is primarily field-based and travel-intensive, with the potential to develop into a full-time position for the right candidate. The ideal individual thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong leadership and technical experience, and is comfortable working extended schedules during active project periods.

Position Summary

The Confined Space Monitoring Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the deployment, operation, maintenance, and field execution of the Wilma Confined Space Monitoring System during industrial turnarounds, maintenance events, and daily operations. This position serves as the primary field leadership role for Wilma crews and is responsible for ensuring operational readiness, safety compliance, personnel coordination, customer interaction, and successful execution of confined space monitoring operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, industrial field experience, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple systems and personnel in fast-paced turnaround environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Wilma confined space monitoring personnel during field deployments and turnaround operations
  • Coordinate setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of Wilma systems including ACU, ICU, CCU, wireless communications, cameras, intercoms, gas detection, and operator stations
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with OSHA confined space regulations, company procedures, and customer site requirements
  • Manage daily field activities, manpower assignments, shift coordination, and operational readiness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, operations personnel, and management during field activities
  • Monitor equipment condition, deployment status, and operational performance to ensure system reliability
  • Assist with training and mentoring technicians and operators on Wilma systems and confined space monitoring procedures
  • Support troubleshooting of network communications, video systems, intercoms, wireless equipment, and battery/UPS systems as needed
  • Coordinate logistics including equipment staging, transportation, inventory, and mobilization/demobilization activities
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and field documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to system deployment, operational efficiency, and customer support
  • Assist with pre-job planning, customer meetings, and project coordination activities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous industrial turnaround or refinery/petrochemical experience preferred
  • Experience supervising field personnel in industrial or safety-related operations
  • Knowledge of confined space operations and industrial safety procedures
  • Technical experience with networking, cameras, communications systems, wireless systems, or industrial monitoring equipment preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel as required during turnaround events
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in fast-paced field environments
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Work Environment
