The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the data model, ensuring data quality, and supporting the overall configuration management process. Key Responsibilities: Data Model Management: Lead the development and maintenance of the CMDB data model, ensuring it aligns with organizational needs and industry best practices Work closely with the solutions architect to validate that foundational data models align with the overall application roadmap Data Quality and Integrity: Implement strong data management practices to ensure that the data stored in the CMDB is accurate, complete, and consistently maintained Ensure data quality by avoiding Configuration Item (Cl) duplication and maintaining all relevant CMDB integration information up to date Utilize ServiceNow Discovery and other tools to automate the population of the CMDB and reduce manual errors Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with proactive monitoring teams and any Cl discovery sources feeding into the CMDB Establish clear communication channels between relevant teams, end-users, and stakeholders, providing regular reports on service performance, incidents, changes, and improvement initiatives Compliance and Security: Maintain high standards for data security, ensuring that sensitive information is protected in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements Raise compliance to audit controls and ensure the CMDB supports critical incident and change processes Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the health of the CMDB using ServiceNow's health dashboard and other tools, addressing any issues related to Cl compliance Create and maintain reports for stakeholders, providing insights into the CMDB's status and performance Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular health checks of the ServiceNow instance to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement Stay updated with ServiceNow's latest features and releases, leveraging new functionality to enhance the CMDB's capabilities Qualifications Skills: ServiceNow Administration: Proficiency in managing and configuring the ServiceNow platform, particularly the CMDB module ]Data Management: Strong knowledge of data management practices, including data quality, data integrity, and data modeling and CSDM data model Automation Tools: Experience with ServiceNow Discovery ITOM and other Discovery tools such as Dynatrace , understanding on how attributes are digested into the CMDB and Device classes.
