Job description

Position Title: Operations IT Specialist
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $103,000 - $116,000
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required

Position Overview

Corinth is seeking an experienced Operations IT Specialist to support our Department of Defense (DoD) client.

Required Qualifications

•       Must be US Citizen.

•       Must currently hold, or have held within the past 2 years, an active DoD Common Access Card (CAC); equivalent PIV credentials from other federal agencies are accepted provided they are backed by a final, favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (or higher) investigation.

•       Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH).

•       Associate degree or higher.

•       10+ years experience working with COBOL programs integrated into enterprise systems.

•       Experience in system operations, deployments, and maintenance in large-scale IT environments.

•       Familiarity with mainframe job scheduling and operational monitoring practices.

•       Experience adhering to structured deployment and configuration management protocols.

•       Skilled in troubleshooting operational and deployment-related incidents, escalating issues as required.

•       Proficiency with system monitoring tools and log analysis for error detection and resolution.

•       Experience supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and System Acceptance Testing (SAT) in deployment cycles

•       Strong organizational skills supporting audit-ready documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities

•       Monitor and support system operations and deployments to ensure mission-critical client systems remain stable and available.

•       Execute and validate deployment procedures, move sheets, and configuration management standards in pre-production and production environments.

•       Track and troubleshoot batch cycles, JCL execution, and operational workflows, escalating issues as needed to technical teams.

•       Maintain detailed deployment documentation, checklists, and after-action reports for each deployment or cycle event.

•       Respond to operational outages, emergency maintenance, and deployment-related incidents to minimize downtime.

•       Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance cycles and system patches across client environments.

•       Coordinate with others on installation and patching activities in production environments.
