Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Specialist Configuration Management to join our team. This is a critical engineering support role responsible for performing configuration management (CM) functions to ensure product performance, functional, and physical attributes are consistent with requirements, design, and operational information. The primary goal of this role is to maintain the integrity of system documentation, drawings, design artifacts, baselines, records, and associated configuration information using established configuration processes and controls. This role also provides support to various engineering and program management teams as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead configuration management activities in support of Agile development programs, including the application of configuration management processes, documentation, and control principles.
  • Administer and enhance configuration management toolsets, and support the Configuration Change Board process to evaluate, document, and implement product design changes.
  • Manage the review, control, and release of engineering drawings and technical documentation in accordance with program requirements and established organizational procedures.
  • Provide configuration management guidance to program teams, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, and support configuration audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Prior experience in configuration management or related engineering support, including working knowledge of PLM, PDM, or version control tools such as Agile PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill, ClearCase, or similar systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead configuration management activities, coordinate across functional teams, and support execution in a schedule-driven, fast-paced Agile or continuous-change engineering environment, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced document formatting, template development, styles, and other document control functions.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management standards such as EIA-649C and MIL-STD-973, with the ability to interpret Statements of Work, engineering drawings, schematics, and parts lists; configuration management certifications such as CMPIC or NDIA preferred.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $67,000-$124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
