Highly experienced Senior CMDB & ServiceNow Integration Architect with 12+ years of IT experience and deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, enterprise data architecture, system integrations, database technologies, and platform performance optimization. The candidate will be responsible for defining and governing the CMDB strategy, designing scalable integration architectures, improving data quality, and ensuring optimal performance of CMDB and related ServiceNow applications.
A strong understanding of Cicada ETL/Data Integration Platform is mandatory, including its role in populating and maintaining CMDB data and supporting ServiceNow integration workflows. Enterprise discussions reference CMDB population from Cicada ETL and CI mapping into ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities
CMDB Architecture & Governance
• Define and implement enterprise CMDB architecture, data models, and governance standards.
• Design and maintain Configuration Item (CI) classes, relationships, identification and reconciliation rules.
• Drive CMDB health initiatives, including data quality, normalization, reconciliation, and compliance monitoring.
• Establish CMDB best practices aligned with ServiceNow CSDM standards.
ServiceNow Solution Architecture
• Architect and govern ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, TSM and related platform capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow platform integrations and data architecture.
• Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Define scalable and sustainable integration patterns across enterprise systems.

Integration Architecture
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external applications using:
o REST APIs
o SOAP Web Services
o IntegrationHub
o MID Server
o ETL Platforms
o Event-based Integration Frameworks
• Architect data synchronization between ServiceNow CMDB, inventory systems, monitoring tools, OSS/BSS platforms, cloud platforms, and enterprise databases.
• Lead integration troubleshooting, optimization, and root-cause analysis.
Cicada Platform Expertise (Mandatory)
• Design and support Cicada-based data ingestion and ETL workflows.
• Define CI data ingestion, enrichment, normalization, and reconciliation processes from Cicada into
ServiceNow CMDB.
• Optimize Cicada data flows and mapping strategies.
• Ensure consistency, integrity, and timeliness of CMDB population from Cicada sources.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to onboard new data sources through Cicada.
Database & Data Architecture
• Possess deep expertise in relational database concepts and enterprise data modeling.
• Design scalable schemas and data structures supporting ServiceNow integrations.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across complex datasets.
• Support data migration, transformation, and archival activities.
Performance Engineering
• Analyze and improve ServiceNow platform performance.
• Identify bottlenecks in:
o CMDB operations
o Discovery processes
o Service Mapping
o Integrations
o Database transactions
• Optimize application performance, response times, and batch processing workloads.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and performance reporting frameworks.
Stakeholder & Technical Leadership
• Act as the technical authority for CMDB and ServiceNow integration architecture.
• Work closely with enterprise architects, application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Lead architecture design reviews and technical governance forums.
• Mentor developers, administrators, and CMDB analysts.
