Job description

Position Summary:

S2Technologies is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Network Engineer (Associate) supporting enterprise operations at Schriever Space Force Base. This position focuses on configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco-based network infrastructure in support of both NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls, and be capable of supporting DoD network standards, compliance protocols, and lifecycle maintenance efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cisco servers, routers, and switches.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and network appliances.
  • Implement and maintain secure network configurations in accordance with DoD and Air Force standards.
  • Perform IOS upgrades, patch deployments, and configuration management.
  • Conduct site surveys and support equipment refresh efforts including accreditation and integration.
  • Monitor network performance and availability, addressing anomalies and outages promptly.
  • Maintain inventory of network equipment and spares; support warranty replacement and hardware lifecycle tracking.
  • Support compliance with TCNOs, NOTAMs, and NTOs as required.
  • Participate in network security and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Document changes and maintain accurate configuration records.
Minimum Qualification:
  • BA/BS in a technical field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations or support.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, Cisco ISE, routers, and switches.
  • Familiarity with DoD IT environments, including TCNOs, STIGs, and Remedy ticketing systems.
  • Experience with SolarWinds or equivalent network monitoring tools.
  • Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Required Certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+.
Additional Information:
  • This is a full-time, on-site position at Schriever Space Force Base.
  • Some on-call or after-hours support may be required.
  • Physical access to network/server spaces and occasional lifting of equipment may be necessary.
