Job Title
On-Call Event Customer Service Representative
Job Summary
The On-Call Event Customer Service Representative provides event oversight and support to the Conference & Event Services staff by directly engaging with internal and external clients to ensure all conferences, events, and meetings are carried out as planned. This will include direct interaction with clients to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service. Please note - times for events can vary throughout the day, evenings, and weekends. The work hours for this position will be based upon employee availability and events scheduled.
Schoolcraft is a comprehensive, open-door, community-based college. The mission of the College is to provide a transformational learning experience designed to increase the capacity of individuals and groups to achieve intellectual, social, and economic goals.
Job Duties
  1. Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients using Schoolcraft College facilities.
  2. Troubleshoot customer issues during events with the Conference & Events Services staff, Culinary Operations, Campus Police, Facilities Management, Media Services, and Information Technology departments.
  3. Clerical and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  1. Two (2) years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  2. Ability to operate appropriate office equipment, including computers, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other related software.
  3. Ability to work effectively with staff members at all levels of the organization and the public.
  4. Ability and experience working in a multi-tasking environment.
