Job description

Organize AiG seminars through stages of scheduling, planning, promoting, execution and reporting. Must be detail oriented and possess superior planning skills as they work together with the Outreach team coordinating many events throughout the year.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.
Responsibilities
  • Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
  • Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
  • Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
  • Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
  • Negotiating the schedules and needs of event hosts and AiG in scheduling events and creating contracts.
  • Coordinating events through stages of planning, promoting, execution and reporting.
  • Ordering books and equipment for events and coordinating shipping.
  • Organizing travel arrangements for speakers and staff.
  • Communicating technical needs and providing technical support for speakers as needed.
  • Training and managing volunteer teams at events.
  • Overseeing and assisting with retail setup and checkout at events.
  • Regular travel to events is required for onsite coordination.
  • Assist with photography for monthly newsletter, Outreach events in the field and at AiG national Conferences.
  • Travel - will be required to fly at times and other times drive depending on the distance/practicality etc
  • Needs to know how to use POS devices in the field and train others on them
  • And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
  • Communication and presentation: Must be able to communicate passionately and professionally to church leaders, event guests, and others who are hosting AiG events.
  • Leadership: Must be able to confidently lead volunteer teams of all ages.
  • Organization/planning: Must be able to keep track of multiple projects in different stages of completion.
  • Assertiveness: Must be firm yet encouraging in negotiating with an organization in the areas of logistical, financial, and ministry needs.
  • Technical knowledge: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, and keen with AV systems and equipment.
  • Collaborative: Be able to work together with a team.

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in event planning, organization and management is a plus.
  • Experience in data extraction and manipulation is a plus.
  • A strong commitment to Christ and the AiG mission.
  • This is an exempt position and requires regular travel to events with AiG speakers.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy boxes, sound systems, video equipment/screens, etc.
