POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role is accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the company premises through the performance of various tasks and responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Break Areas

Restrooms (at a minimum twice a day)

  • Clean toiletsย 
  • Mop and sweep the floorsย 
  • Clean the sinks
  • Clean the mirrors
  • Wipe down counters
  • Restock paper goods
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Toilet seat covers
  • Restock hand soap when needed

Break Room (at a minimum twice a day)

  • Empty the trashcans and replace bags
  • Clean microwavesย 
  • Mop and sweep the floorsย 
  • Clean/sanitize the sink
  • Clean/sanitize tables, chairs, and countertops
  • Restock paper goods
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Restock hand soap when needed
  • Clean/sanitize the vending machines and refrigerator (daily)
  • Clean/sanitize the ice machine (daily)

ย Smoking Area

  • Empty trash cans daily
  • Empty the cigarette butt receptacles daily
  • Sweep the concrete area daily and throw away loose trash/cigarette butts
  • Remove cobwebs from tables and under the awning daily

ย Warehouse

  • Sweep and mop the blue area on a daily basis
  • Vacuum the rug at the Employee Entrance daily
  • Clean/sanitize the lockers on a weekly basis
  • Wash the windows/door at the Employee Entrance on a weekly basis
  • Remove cobwebs from entryway and locker area

ย ย Office Area

  • Empty trash cans daily
  • Wipe down conference room table and console daily (when not occupied)
  • Dust bookshelves and file cabinets daily
  • Remove cobwebs from windowsills and ceilings
  • Vacuum the floors daily (at the end of shift)
  • Wash the windows and doors weekly at a minimum
  • Dust the window blinds weekly at a minimum
  • Clean the coffee area in the conference room weekly at a minimum
  • Clean the restrooms on a daily basis (Office and Lobby)
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.ย 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience cleaning in a warehouse/office environment.
  • Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Possesses effective verbal communication skills.
  • Follows safety protocols when handling chemicals and uses proper PPE.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a professional office environment. In the office, standard office equipment such as computers, laptops, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines are utilized.ย
