So, what are we looking for?

We are seeking an On-Site Audio Visual Design Engineer to provide services for one of our clients in Memphis, TN, whose attitude, skills, and work ethic embody our mission: to provide a fantastic customer experience. This role requires someone passionate about AV technology who can think outside the box while adhering to Enterprise AV standards.

What are your responsibilities?
  • Design AV signal flows and create detailed AV design diagrams.
  • Work with existing architecture and electrical frameworks to design AV rooms.
  • Troubleshoot existing AV infrastructure and resolve complex issues.
  • Develop and write Q-SYS design files at a Level 2 programming proficiency.
  • Ensure designs align with Enterprise AV standards while providing innovative solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging AV integration technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and system commissioning on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct daily operational checks and routine system health assessments.
What Weโ€™re Looking For:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while asking the right questions when needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable being the face of our company to clients.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box while maintaining compliance with standards.
Does experience count?
  • Audio Visual Engineering Experience: Minimum 3 years designing AV signal flows and AV design diagrams.
  • Q-SYS Programming: Level 2 proficiency required. (Some LUA Required)
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding and Proficiency of AV networking principles. (Understanding VLANs, IP addressing, and AV-over-IP concepts).
  • Education: Associate degree preferred but not required; experience and skill level matter most.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle check.
  • Attitude and aptitude are keyโ€”we need someone eager to learn and ready to tackle any situation.
