Job Description We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented Conference Services & Facilities Assistant to support the daily operation of a busy corporate conference center. This long-term temporary position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality. The role includes conference room setup, catering coordination, beverage service, light audiovisual support, and general facilities assistance to ensure meetings and events run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities Set up, monitor, and break down conference rooms, meeting spaces, and client events Coordinate catering deliveries, assist with buffet setup, maintain food service throughout events, and ensure proper cleanup in accordance with food safety standards Maintain beverage stations by stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, managing inventory, and coordinating equipment maintenance as needed Provide light audiovisual support and troubleshoot basic AV equipment during meetings and events Respond promptly to meeting and event requests while delivering exceptional customer service to employees, guests, and vendors Support general conference center and facilities operations, ensuring meeting spaces remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the day Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of conference services, hospitality, hotel, catering, or facilities experience preferred Experience providing basic audiovisual support Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-facing environment Team-oriented, proactive, and dependable with strong attention to detail Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift or move meeting and event materials as needed Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekends when required Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $18 per hour Long-term temporary assignment Full-time, fully on-site New York, NY Schedule varies based on meetings (typically 7:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
