Commercial Electrician – MechanicPreferred Skills
  • Commercial electrical construction experience, including EMT, GRC, and MC cable.
  • Ability to read plans, lay out lighting, and install switchgear.
  • Basic math and effective communication skills.
  • Dependable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Install conduit, wiring, panels, fixtures, devices, equipment, and prefabricated assemblies.
  • Read blueprints and diagrams to complete installations accurately.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit.
  • Pull, splice, terminate, and connect wiring to electrical equipment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair circuits, feeders, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate installations with other trades and direct assigned Helpers.
  • Gather tools and materials, minimize waste, and complete required paperwork.
  • Follow Clark Electric and OSHA safety requirements.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and written instructions.
  • Ability to identify wire colors accurately.
  • Proficiency with conduit benders, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts, and mechanical lifts.
  • Ability to perform trenching work using hand tools or powered equipment.
  • Ability to follow company procedures when working around energized circuits.
  • Ability to supervise Electrician Helpers safely and effectively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and reach overhead for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from mechanical lifts.
  • Adequate vision and hearing, with or without correction.
