Chipton-Ross is seeking a Flight Test Conductor for a contract opportunity at Edwards AFB, CA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
* 5+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operations
* 5+ years of experience in planning and conducting system level lab, ground, or flight testing
* 100+ hours of control room experience as a Test Conductor POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Test Conductor will lead flight test program planning and execution, which will include many aspects of flight sciences and mission systems. The successful candidate will lead test conduct through coordination of flight test operations with the various functions and support groups in the organization (Flight Operations; Flight Test Operations; Instrumentation & Data Systems - Test Software & Telemetry, System Design & Development, System Design, Installation Design, and Operations; Fabrication and Assembly). Duties may include (but are not limited to): * Supports the development and verification of test methods
* Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
* Performs detailed planning and execution of aircraft ground and flight test
* Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
* Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
* Presents test results internally
* Archives data and reports
* Trains/Guides junior test conductors with their career development in flight test PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) * Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* 5+ years of experience performing tactical aircraft flight testing (planning and/or executing)
* 5+ years of experience directly interfacing with customers and senior program leadership
* 5+ years of experience developing detailed test points from system level specification requirements, test planning, execution and reporting test results REQUIRED EDUCATION Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. TRAVEL Possible domestic travel, unknown at this time. WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. 1st, possible 2nd shift and or weekends per business needs.
