Security Guard

Primary objective:

To be the visual/physical/responsive presence on campus during shift.

To provide a safe and secure environment for our residents and employees.

To act as the first response to all emergencies on campus during the hours of 6pm-6 am daily

Provide set-up and breakdown of banquet rooms tables and chairs.

Minimum requirements:

Required to pass a background check

Possess a high school diploma/GED

Willing to work a flexible schedule (including weekends)

Desire to work with seniors

Must possess team spirit, good character, and personal integrity.

Partial list of duties & responsibilities:

  • To always maintain a presence of response/assistance/knowledge on the campus.
  • Respond to resident issues and emergencies as the "first response" promptly and effectively.
  • To follow the security rounds schedule (printed separately) – understanding it may change as needed.
  • To be always available by cell phone or in person for "first response" to emergency issues
  • To use appropriate judgment to call police, fire, EMS as indicated.
  • Make scheduled rounds of the campus to include Edwards Ave, Williamsburg Condo, Cottage Apartment Buildings, Garden Apartment Buildings, Assisted Living Facility, Courtyard Suites and all common areas.
  • Deliver medications, notices, and other such items as directed by administration to the residents of the Village.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the swimming pool and Wellness Center as outlined.
  • Occasional use of pool chemicals may be assigned.
  • Routine may change with the change of seasons.
