What we're looking for:
AmeriSave is currently hiring Condo Project Review Underwriters to join our winning team.
This is a remote opportunity to work from home. Remote work applicants may not work from the following states: California.
What You'll Do:
  • Initial review and subsequent condition review of all condo and PUD projects in both refinance and purchase transactions
  • Ensure adherence to all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Non-QM published condo guidelines
  • Answer questions and scenarios posted by Sales, Underwriting and Processing
  • Understanding and reviewing project insurance, borrower insurances, project legal documents, project budgets and questionnaires
  • Review of Title Commitment for Project consistency description
  • Ensure the most efficient review possible for each project - which may include contacting a 3rd party directly instead of conditioning the file
  • Maintain acceptable turn times on new tasks (initial review and condition submissions)
  • Document detailed notes in the system when task is "touched".
  • Review preliminary documents to determine project review type.
  • Communicate with underwriter and processor with possible discrepancy on documents being requested.
  • Check email throughout the day and responding with turn times as dictated in Project Procedures.
  • Call HOA's, Management Companies and Insurance Agents to request needed documents for loan file (if needed)
  • Assist Condo Analysts with questions regarding loan files, project eligibility reviews, and underwriting conditions.
  • Responsible for additional assignments as management deems necessary for the department

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Condo Mortgage Underwriting experience required

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).
