Job description

We are seeking an Account Executive - Concrete Services to join the team in the Arlington/Grand Prairie area. This is a true outside sales role for someone who knows how to build relationships, uncover construction and maintenance opportunities, and turn customer needs into profitable work across concrete repair, maintenance, flooring, waterproofing, and related services.

What You'll Do as the Account Executive - Concrete Services:

  • Develop new business throughout the DFW commercial and industrial markets
  • Build relationships with property managers, building owners, end users, tenants, and General Contractors
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying additional construction and maintenance needs
  • Prospect consistently and build a healthy pipeline of new opportunities
  • Pursue concrete repair, remediation, maintenance, and place-and-finish projects
  • Target larger repair and maintenance opportunities, including projects in the approximately $50,000-$400,000 range
  • Conduct customer meetings, site walks, and project visits
  • Ask the right questions to understand scope, access, schedule, labor, and constructability
  • Work with internal estimating resources to develop pricing and proposals
  • Maintain enough technical understanding to discuss project needs credibly with customers and operations teams
  • Collaborate with estimating, Project Management, operations, and field teams to transition sold work into execution
  • Maintain customer relationships after project completion and generate repeat business
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell complementary specialty construction services
  • Develop relationships across the DFW construction and property-management communities
  • Maintain ownership of opportunities from initial prospecting through sale and relationship follow-up

Must-Haves as the Account Executive - Concrete Services:

  • Proven success in outside sales, account management, or business development within construction or a related service industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business rather than relying primarily on inbound leads
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-development skills
  • Ability to build credibility with commercial and industrial customers
  • Comfort meeting customers in offices and walking active jobsites
  • Ability to understand basic construction scope, quantities, labor considerations, schedules, and project constraints
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial approach to sales
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with estimating and operations teams
  • Strong follow-through and account-management skills
  • Personal vehicle and ability to travel locally throughout DFW
  • Current residence in the DFW market

Nice-to-Haves as the Account Executive - Concrete Services:

  • Concrete repair or remediation sales experience
  • Concrete place-and-finish experience
  • Removal and replacement experience
  • Commercial or industrial concrete maintenance experience
  • Parking lot repair or exterior maintenance experience
  • Existing DFW property-management relationships
  • Existing relationships with commercial or industrial owners
  • Existing General Contractor relationships
  • Commercial renovation experience
  • Second-generation construction experience
  • Tenant improvement experience
  • Building maintenance or facility-services sales experience
  • Waterproofing, flooring, or related specialty construction experience
  • Estimating or field experience
  • Bluebeam experience
  • Togal experience

Benefits Offered:

  • Base salary starting around $80,000+, depending on experience
  • Commission and performance-based incentive opportunity
  • Approximately $850 per month vehicle allowance
  • Approximately $60 per month phone allowance
  • Anticipated company credit card for business expenses
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Broad portfolio of specialty construction services to sell
  • Internal estimating support
  • Existing customer relationships with room for additional account growth
  • Opportunity to help expand a developing business unit
  • High level of autonomy and direct impact on revenue growth
