We are seeking a Concrete Placer-Finisher to support some of the most innovative, complex, and large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the country. This role will be instrumental in delivering RMCI's first-generation programs as a General Contractor within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.
As a Concrete Placer-Finisher, you will specialize in forming and shaping concrete structures and components for various construction projects. Your expertise in carpentry combined with knowledge of concrete construction techniques will be essential in creating durable and precise concrete forms.
Responsibilities:
  • Formwork Construction: Build and assemble forms for concrete structures, including walls, columns, beams, decks, and foundations, based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Measurement and Layout: Take measurements and lay out forms accurately according to blueprints and project requirements.
  • Concrete Pouring and Finishing: Pour concrete into forms and spread it using tools such as screeds and trowels to achieve desired consistency and surface smoothness.
  • Cutting and Shaping: Cutting and shaping materials to specified measurements using hand and power tools.
  • Form Stripping: Remove forms once concrete has cured and inspect surfaces for defects or imperfections, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Concrete Repair: Repair and patch concrete surfaces and structures using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Inspecting Work: Inspecting completed work to ensure conformance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of tools and materials.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams, including general contractors, concrete finishers, and other trades, to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a concrete carpenter or in a similar role involving concrete formwork construction.
  • Carpentry Skills: Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including layout, cutting, and assembly of forms.
  • Concrete Knowledge: Understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing processes.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and aligning forms to ensure quality concrete structures.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to formwork and concrete placement.

Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Work is typically performed outdoors at construction sites, exposed to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Schedule: Full-time, with overtime and weekend work possible depending on project deadlines and requirements

As a Concrete Placer / Finisher, you will specialize in the placement, finishing, and maintenance of concrete surfaces in construction projects.   • The inherent responsibilities of your role may include physical working conditions. In order to safely and successfully perform job duties you must be able to:
    • Potentially lift up to 50 pounds
    • Potentially need to do repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing
    • Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, etc.
