Description:

The Construction Laborer will be responsible for working in a team to construct and install petroleum equipment for our clients. This position will require some travel.

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in installing and testing petroleum tanks, piping, and other equipment.
  • Assist in removal and disposal of old petroleum equipment.
  • Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials.
  • Follow safety procedures on each job.
  • Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in a construction related field.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to meet insurability requirement of a good driving record.
  • Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operations.
  • Ability to work out of town and overnight on a frequent basis.
  • CDL preferred or ability to obtain.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk for long periods of time; sit; use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee is often exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and other outside weather conditions. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish color change. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high.
