Concrete Pump Operator

Location: Lewisville, TX 75057

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Pump Operator to join our team in Lewisville, TX. You should have 3-5 years experience operating concrete pumping equipment, specifically 39-65 meter boom pumps. If you have worked on Schwing, Putz, and Alliance trucks that's a plus. A strong work ethic and ability to make decisions when it's stressful will make you a standout ! You must have a current CDL (Texas preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Operate 39-65 meter boom concrete pumps safely .
  • Set up and take down all concrete pumping equipment on job sites.
  • Coordinate with customers and ready mix producers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with pumping equipment.
  • Connects multiple hoses together amp; positions/repositions hoses
  • Shovels spilled concrete back into Company hopper
  • Operates pump using radio remote, cable remote or manual leers
  • Communicates problems on job site immediately to the office for direction
  • Contain ALL hydraulic or diesel leaks
  • Conducts routine maintenance on pumps (i.e.: pipe, elbow amp; gasket replacement)
  • Conducts pre-trip amp; post-trip inspections on trucks
  • Thoroughly cleans pump after finishing the job/day (i.e.: cab, remotes, side boxes, system, pump, boom, etc.)
  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work long hours.
  • Ability to operate in a stressful environment.
  • Follow all safety policies and company procedures on site.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience operating concrete pumping equipment.
  • Experience operating 39-65 meter boom pumps is required.
  • Experience with Schwing, Putzmeister, or Alliance trucks is ideal, but not required.
  • Must have a current and valid CDL.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally with customers and ready mix producers, even in stressful situations.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds above your head
  • Ability to push amp; pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (10 – 12+ hours per day)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
  • Possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump truck in all weather conditions common to the north Texas area
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways and wire mesh
  • Ability/willingness to work with outside temperatures that include extreme heat, cold, wind and rain
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time while driving concrete pump truck
