JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for personalizing guests' experience by greeting them in a professional, courteous and engaging manner
  • Engage every guest in conversation and recognition as well as resolve any guest issues immediately
  • Answer any guest inquires regarding the city, events and attractions
  • Support other departments including Sales Front Office and Bellman/Van as needed
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Coordinate special events or special projects as assigned
  • Keep concierge lounge clean and re-stocked
  • Greet guests and assist them with food and drink options
  • Monitor food and beverage offerings and ensure it is well stocked and clean at all times
  • Arrange transportation needs for guests
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hotel features services and assistance
  • Knowledgeable of daily functions VIP's and any other special events occurring in or pertaining to the hotel
  • Provide information on the geographical area
  • Suggest site-seeing locations and arrange tours
  • Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly efficient and courteous manner
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages mail and messages as needed to guests and meeting rooms
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees
  • Attend meetings as required by management
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school degree or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
  • Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
