Job Description
Starting pay: $20.00 USD
This position is under the supervision of entertainment/audio visual management and supports the day-to-day catering/convention operations as well as nightlife and live entertainment.
Responsibilities
  • Setting theatrical staging
  • Placement of theatrical risers
  • Setting temporary sound systems
  • Hanging and focusing lights
  • Hanging banners and signage
  • Setting props and décor pieces
  • Cleaning and organizing equipment
  • Moving equipment and props to warehouse
  • Climbing and cleaning Mining Rig
  • Cleaning Dome Ring

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum: 2 years (or equivalent) in Show/Concert set-up
  • Education: High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of audio, lighting, casino systems, hotel TV/phone/network systems and venue systems
  • Working knowledge of computers, basic carpentry, rigging applications, electrical, mechanical equipment and video applications.
  • Must have sound engineer experience and/or lighting experience
  • Must be able to pass and attain required OSHA certifications as well as fall protection
  • Requires excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure of ever-changing deadlines
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with employees and guests
  • Must be able to drive a scissor lift and forklift training and certification will be provided

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Fast paced, production environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, illuminated and or dimly lit, around moving objects, in high places and slippery surfaces
  • Work may involve exposure to vibration, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust and explosive material
  • Work may be performed inside and outside in all weather conditions
  • Work may be performed alone, with others, around others, with verbal and face-to-face contact
  • Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps).
  • Requires seldom sitting, bending and reaching from floor to ceiling, crouching, kneeling, climbing, balancing, pushing/pulling wheeled carts with static push/pull of 150 lbs., lifting/carrying of 25-over 100 lbs., driving, repetitive use of both hands, to include light and firm/strong grasping and finger dexterity and use of hand and power tools
  • Requires occasional standing and walking, lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires normal hearing, near/far visual acuity with depth perception, field of vision, accommodation and absence of color blindness
  • Must be able to perform simple and complex tasks, reading, writing and math skills, see things spatially and with form, perform clerical work, compile, coordinate, analyze and synthesize information, instruct others, work with precision, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Working at heights is a requirement of the AV department
  • Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range
  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise

Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
