YOUR ROLE

Your mission is to own analytics and business insight for specialty pharmacy at Concert (Prior experience with Specialty Pharma is a plus, but not a prerequisite for this role). You will work closely with company leadership and specialty pharma subject matter experts to identify and prioritize the development of coverage criteria and claim edits. You will work primarily with medical and pharmacy claims data for specialty pharma, but also with financial and operational data.

Your responsibilities will include:

General business analysis to answer questions such as:

  • Where should we focus our efforts in specialty pharma to generate the greatest value for our customers?
  • How is specialty pharma utilization and billing changing, and how does that impact our specialty pharma offering?

Claims analysis

  • You will ensure claims are organized in bins that match our taxonomy (e.g. Dupilumab for Immunology and Rheumatology)
  • You will ensure data is clean and reports are accurate
  • You will build processes for repeating your analysis

Collaboration

  • You will work with company leadership to answer key business questions with data.
  • You will collaborate with clinical specialists to inform the development of coverage criteria and claim edits (denials), and you will prototype and test those claim edits.
  • You will work with customer operations to help answer customer questions about their specialty pharma utilization.
  • You will collaborate across the organization to help improve and scale our processes as we grow.

In your first year you will grow and accomplish the following:

By 3 months you will:

  • Understand Concert's data and analytics assets, content management philosophy, products, and market strategy.
  • Own our specialty pharmacy claims data analyses.
  • Be collaborating with a small team of subject matter experts who are writing coverage criteria for specialty pharmacy.

By 6 months you will:

  • Be leading and organizing portions of our specialty pharma R&D.
  • Be collaborating with other Concert teams (e.g. engineering) to assess feasibility and prepare for building features or infrastructure to deliver our specialty pharma claim edits.

By 12 months you will:

  • Be reporting savings opportunities for specialty pharma to customers and prospects.
  • Be the analytics subject matter expert for specialty pharma and our specialty pharma product.
  • Be supporting the build-out and implementation of our specialty pharma product

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a quantitative or medical field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, finance, economics, biology, pre-med, etc.
  • MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of data analytics experience
  • Minimum 4 years in the U.S. healthcare industry
  • Minimum 4 years analyzing medical and pharmaceutical claims data

Technical skills:

  • SQL
  • Google Sheets (or Excel)

Bonus:

  • Clinical experience with specialty pharma
  • Other business experience such as account management, self-employment, entrepreneurship, a side hustle, etc.
  • Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit, etc.)
