Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Concert Drive)

Department: Production & Logistics

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (9:45PM-6:30AM)

Clinical Status: Clinical

Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you would be processing all surgical equipment needed for production processing in accordance with defined standard operating procedures and governing standards in compliance with LifeNet Health's Quality Systems, Corporate Compliance programs and department safety policies and procedures.

Important: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

These roles are critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking the donor's gifts and transitioning them to the lifesaving and health restoring allografts for patients around the globe.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Accurately inspects, prepares and packages all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
  • Decontaminates all instrumentation and equipment effectively ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned. Processes and completes associated case cart documentation.
  • Sterilizes all equipment ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective SOP followed. Operates Steam and EO sterilizers and accurately completes associated documentation.
  • Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School or GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
  • Zero years of work experience is required

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

  • CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year work experience in a sterile processing environment or inspection role

Key Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Able to use time, energy, resources, etc. to achieve goals
  • Able to convey information verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload
  • Able to work in a fast-paced team environment to achieve goals and deliverables

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $18.00 / hourly

Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is a flat rate of $18.00 hourly (entry level). Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.
