Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for our Livorsi Marine customers by providing outstanding customer service and technical support. This position is responsible for processing customer orders, responding to customer inquiries, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries via telephone and email.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Communicate technical product information and provide support to marine customers.
  • Take ownership of customer concerns and proactively resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, sales, and other internal departments to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate shipment status from multiple company shipping locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional communication and timely service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and recommend process improvements.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and customer service best practices.
  • Operate standard office equipment and business software, including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, measuring devices, and related office equipment.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Quality Management System, including applicable inspection, verification, documentation, and process requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, to enter and maintain customer information, prepare correspondence, and manage customer communications.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) to five (5) years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge or experience within the marine industry is strongly preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to accurately enter and maintain customer information.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding and operating office equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
  • Ability to move throughout the office and manufacturing facility as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to view computer screens for extended periods.
