CompX Grayslake is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories.

 The candidate should be self-motivated, multi-tasking individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload Washer.
  • Maintain machine conditions; perform fluid level checks on wash machine. 
  • Complete transactions through ERP system. 
  • Weigh, count and accurately maintain parts in the department. 
  • Ability to operate scales.
  • Operate powered equipment to move parts throughout the plant.


Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Physical Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to be trained to operate all powered equipment vehicles (i.e., fork lift, pallet jack, tugger, etc.).
  • Repetitive lifting, loading and unloading parts into machines to be cleaned or deburred. 
  • Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment. 
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the work day. 
  • Knowledge of ERP system, a plus. 
  • Required to wear eye protection and safety shoes.
