Job description

Overview

Title: Finance/HR Clerk                                             

Location: York, PA Corps

Reports To: Corps Commanding Officers                      

Availability: Immediate

Schedule: Part Time +; 25 hours per week; M-Th, 8:30am to 2:30pm

Salary: $13.00 per hour

Position Overview: Responsible to manage Income and Expense transmittals to the Bookkeeper and EPA Departments who handle these items. Responsible to help with HR items as directed by the CO an/or Business/Development Director.

Responsibilities

Description of Position

  • Responsible for AR and AP for York completing and send to Divisional Headquarters the appropriate departments on a weekly manner.
  • Tracking income for special events, Christmas, etc. when needed by CO, BDD, Women's Auxiliary, and Advisory Board.
  • Prepare records of audit.
  • Sending necessary items to Bookkeeper for monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing money to be deposited in the bank with another member of staff.
  • Keeping retention records up to date.
  • Receives and file all related HR papers for employees.
  • Performs duties as assigned by the CO, ACO, and BDD

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in accounting
  • General computer skills
  • Knowledge and experience in computerized accounting programs
  • Good communication skills
  • Organizational skills to maintain a smooth operating accounting dept.
  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
