Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a busy team in Acton, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and keeping accounting processes organized and on schedule. The role focuses on invoice handling, payment tracking, receivables support, and financial data management using QuickBooks and related tools.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare transactions for timely payment.
• Maintain accounts receivable records by posting customer payments, monitoring balances, and following up on outstanding items as needed.
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reconcile account activity and assist in reviewing discrepancies to help keep records current and reliable.
• Support lease-related financial administration by organizing documentation and recording relevant billing details.
• Use QuickBooks and invoice processing tools to update records, track transactions, and produce accurate accounting entries.
• Assist with routine reporting by compiling financial data and preparing information for internal review.
• Help maintain orderly accounting files and ensure documents are accessible for audit and operational needs.• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or finance setting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within computerized accounting systems.
• Strong data entry skills with the ability to handle detailed financial information accurately.
