PURPOSE STATEMENT


The Clinic Radiology Tech – Float provides high-quality diagnostic imaging services across multiple WMMC clinic locations, supporting patient care and clinical teams as needed. This role ensures accurate and timely imaging, maintains safety and compliance standards, and adapts to varying workflows and settings to meet operational needs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Receive and handle phone calls as directed by the physician.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight and height.
  • Assists provider examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as application of casts and splints, and removing sutures.
  • Authorize drug refills with insurance companies and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
  • Ensure room are properly cleaned and stocked.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, scanning and faxing.
  • Ability to float to different locations, to include outlying clinics up to 35 miles away and hospital Diagnostic Imaging department.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registry from the ARRT in Radiology required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
  • Computer experience.
  • Ability to communicate well with people both in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in the operation of a computer keyboard.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.
  • Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.
  • Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.
  • Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition.
  • Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces.
