Wire Cutter Lead
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 4am start time, Monday - Friday
Hourly Pay: $24.00/hr - $29.00/hr
Compensation for this position includes hourly pay, short-term incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
What You'll Do
As a Wire Cutter Lead, you'll oversee the daily operations of the wire cutting department while actively participating in wire cutting activities. You'll lead a team responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, coiling, spooling, and labeling wire for customer orders while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer service standards are met. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, trainer, and resource for team members and help create a positive, efficient, and safe work environment.
You Will:
  • Lead and support day-to-day wire cutting operations to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review customer orders to determine proper reel size and wire specifications, including type, size, and color.
  • Measure, cut, spool, coil, and label wire using specialized cutting equipment.
  • Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet productivity and service goals.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and verify order accuracy before shipment.
  • Train, coach, and support team members on wire cutting procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and department expectations.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and overall team performance while promoting a positive work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, replenishment, and organization of wire products and materials.
  • Monitor equipment condition, coordinate basic maintenance needs, and maintain department housekeeping standards.
  • Share best practices, procedures, and safety guidelines to create a safe and productive workplace.
  • Follow and promote all company safety policies, operating procedures, and security requirements.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, wire cutting, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
  • Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring associates in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and measurements.
  • Proficiency with RF devices, warehouse management systems, and computer technology.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
