Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Full-Time HVAC Burner Test Technician performs combustion performance testing on industrial and commercial burner products that are manufactured on site. Position will transition into Service Technician with travel to begin on or before 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Assemble and mount burners to boilers for testing.
  • Pipe oil lines, gas trains, feed water systems and steam headers to boilers.
  • Perform mounting and reading of test instruments, recording readings and test data with knowledge of normal parameters. Maintain well organized written reports and project records in such a manner that the results can be analyzed and used by others.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, orderly and functional work area at all times, ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards.
  • Assist other HVAC Burner Test Technicians in any lab, service and R&D functions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of electrical panel wiring, wiring diagram/blueprint and/or schematic experience.
  • HVAC or related field experience a MUST.
  • Trade or technical school education in HVAC a plus.
  • Proven mechanical abilities.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Experience with hand tools, both manual and power driven.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team centered environment.
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Willing and able to travel as a Service Technician.
  • Beginning on or before 90 days, you will be expected to travel with a service technician.
