Job description

JBT Marel is looking for a Wiring/Assembly Technician to join our team in Sabetha, KS.

The Role:

In this position, youll install, maintain, and repair wiring and electrical systems for control equipment. Were looking for someone who brings strong communication skills and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.

  • Builds and installs control and control equipment such as switches, relays.

  • Connects power cables to equipment.

  • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.

  • Operate lift truck with certification.

  • Other duties assigned due to the need of the business.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines

  • Computer and ERP system familiarity

  • Organized, proactive, and detail oriented

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

  • Must be able to pass a physical capacity profile and drug screen

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and moving machinery

  • May involve domestic and international travel

  • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Technical degree- preferred.
