• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and create tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups that address common mental health issues, enhancing community support among our diverse client base.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing crisis management strategies to stabilize patients effectively.
• Engage patients with educational resources about mental health conditions and available community support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) compliant with state laws and ethical standards.
• Actively participate in professional development workshops, team meetings, and case reviews to enhance your clinical skills.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in mental health treatment and research to continue providing effective care.

You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families facing a variety of mental health issues. Each therapist plays a critical role in creating personalized care plans that respect the unique needs and experiences of our clients, promoting holistic recovery and treatment effectiveness.

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective treatment strategies.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, particularly to varied and diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with patients.
• Strong adherence to ethical guidelines and professional boundaries.
• Proficient in utilizing EHR systems and basic computer software applications.
• Ability to function ethically and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with an emphasis on substance use counseling.
• Specialized training or certification in specific therapeutic approaches, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
• Previous experience leading support groups or workshops on mental health awareness.
