Job description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an experienced Project Manager IV to lead high-impact Human Resources programs that drive business transformation, HR technology initiatives, organizational change, and process improvement. This role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to successfully deliver enterprise-wide HR projects from planning through implementation.

Job Title: Project Manager IV – Human Resources

Location: Remote

Work Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale HR transformation and strategic business initiatives
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource plans
  • Develop project charters, business cases, implementation roadmaps, and governance plans
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, HRIS, IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Facilitate executive steering committees, stakeholder meetings, and project status reporting
  • Drive organizational change management, communication, training, and adoption strategies
  • Support HR initiatives involving compensation, benefits, payroll, employee experience, shared services, organizational design, and HR technology
  • Coordinate system implementations, testing, integrations, vendor deliverables, and deployment activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices across HR operations
  • Monitor project performance while ensuring compliance with governance and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives
  • 5+ years managing Human Resources, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Experience, or Organizational Transformation projects
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, budgeting, and risk management
  • Experience with organizational change management and business process improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet and/or Planview, collaboration platforms, and AI productivity tools
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive projects to successful completion
Preferred Skills
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience managing enterprise HR technology implementations
  • Knowledge of HR operating models and shared services
  • Experience supporting executive-level governance and portfolio management
