Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Manager, Provider Networks will be the point person for our new and existing relationships with provider network partners. The role will involve helping to manage these relationships, creating and maintaining product documentation, and facilitating the resolution of complex issues by working cross-functionally with other areas. As the Product Manager, you will be a Subject Matter Expert on our provider networks and develop an understanding of their strengths, nuances, the market, and their competitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) on network partnerships including rules of engagement, guidelines, and competitive advantages.
  • Provide insight and guidance to internal teams and in support of our sales and renewal processes.
  • Create, update, and maintain product documentation related to our network partnerships.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to ensure networks are functioning as intended and collaborate cross-functionally to recommend and/or implement improvements to processes.
  • Provide training and support for to sales, account management, and other internal teams.
  • Develop rapport and maintain relationships with network partners including management of escalated issues.
  • Coordinate with marketing on strategy, product positioning, and creation of product collateral.
  • Collaborate and develop relationships with internal teams including operations, sales, account management, marketing, and others.
  • Manage escalated issues that require product expertise in coordination with other teams such as claims, operations, finance, and others.
  • Help assess new opportunities and partnerships, as needed.
  • Support product management team with initiatives and special projects, as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in product management or similar role.
  • Prior experience with provider networks or in the health insurance industry required.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
