Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and maintaining professional boundaries to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review their progress, stability, and any necessary changes to their treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously monitor personalized treatment plans that align with individual client goals.
  • Accurately document client sessions, including intake assessments and progress notes, to track therapeutic progress over time.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions weekly, tailoring interventions to address specific needs and challenges faced by each client.
  • Participate in individual supervision to ensure ethical practice, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients and ensure comprehensive support.
  • Adopt a growth mindset, embracing opportunities for professional development and improving therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse population, with clients ranging from children to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We aim to provide respectful and culturally competent care, acknowledging and integrating each client's unique background and experiences into their treatment.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
  • Valid and unrestricted License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut, demonstrating current and active licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical outpatient experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (RMS systems), Microsoft Excel, and communication tools such as Outlook and Pimsye.
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families, or groups, with a strong focus on client-centered approaches.
