Elite Family and Youth Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to enhance our team. This full-time, remote position allows professionals to provide critical support to individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. While this role is structured around flexibility, our counselors are expected to maintain regular schedules to provide consistent care Monday through Friday.

The Mental Health Counselor will take on a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the mental health needs of clients.
• Collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans that target specific mental health concerns.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the diverse needs of the client population.
• Equipping clients with coping strategies, tools, and resources to address challenges, manage crises, and achieve therapeutic goals.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of client progress and treatment methodologies using electronic health record systems.
• Providing referrals to ancillary healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or specialists, when appropriate.

As a counselor at Elite Family and Youth Counseling Services, you will work primarily with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Our clients vary in age, background, and presenting problems, providing an enriching and diverse caseload for our counselors.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in California.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• A thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, employing culturally responsive therapeutic techniques.
• Exceptional crisis intervention capabilities and maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience in delivering group therapy sessions applying dynamic and collaborative methods.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling best practices.

The Mental Health Counselor position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually. Additionally, the successful candidate will receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
