The Opportunity:
Design and implement effective artificial intelligence (AI) solution architecture or strategy utilizing approaches of various AI technologies and methods to address clients' business problems and needs, while complying with the organization's strategies, business goals, and key ethical considerations. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience with data science, machine learning (ML), deep learning, or AI, including leading end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of complex AI programs
  • Experience developing and maintaining AI/ML roadmaps, performing Analysis of Alternatives, and making defensible technical tradeoff decisions
  • Experience managing a portfolio of AI initiatives across varying maturity levels and advising Director and Executive-level leadership on CTO-aligned strategy
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying advanced AI systems including Generative AI, AI Agents, LLMs, Reinforcement Learning, and computer vision models
  • Experience building and scaling secure, compliant MLOps and CI/CD pipelines and deploying solutions into highly regulated environments
  • Experience transforming technical R&D outputs into enterprise-grade, governed, and security-aligned offerings that integrate with business workflows
  • Ability to apply cloud and engineering expertise across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Linux, and AI services, such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, Bedrock, or Gemini
  • Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly, providing actionable insights to senior leaders and operational stakeholders while remaining hands-on for rapid prototyping and demos
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS, Engineering, or Data Science field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Edge deployments and optimization strategies, including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation
  • Experience with MLOps for production and ML workloads
  • Experience working with cybersecurity teams to develop and review technical documentation and security control implementation required to achieve and maintain ATO

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
