We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineering Intern to join the team!
The Electrical Engineering Intern will:
  • Support the Systems Test Branch (EC4) at the Johnson Space Center as an Electrical Engineering Intern upgrading the calibration lab test equipment and upgrading control systems
  • Review existing processes used by Crew and Thermal Systems Division Systems Test Branch and identify opportunities for automation
  • Create/Update software to improve efficiency and workflow

Requisition Qualifications:
  • Working towards a BS in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Computer programming experience particularly Python
  • Experience with circuit design, embedded systems and digital design
  • Hardware systems development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requisition Preferences:
  • Knowledge of Microprocessor based systems - ESP32 or Raspberry PI
  • Experience with FPGA design
  • Export/import of data with SQL and Excel via APIs

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
