Job description

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:

Join a global industrial technology and manufacturing environment supporting advanced vehicle and powertrain validation work. This team works closely with engineering, technicians, and customer-facing groups to troubleshoot development vehicles, diagnose technical issues, support validation activities, and keep critical powertrain programs moving forward. The environment is hands-on, technical, and documentation-driven, with a strong focus on practical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration across engineering and field support teams.

What's In Store For You:

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is an onsite role supporting vehicle validation and issue resolution activities Monday through Friday during standard business hours. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with development vehicles, powertrain systems, ECM software/calibrations, and engineering teams while contributing to real-world troubleshooting and validation outcomes.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Support development powertrain systems by troubleshooting vehicle-level hardware, software, controls, and electronic system issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues using existing troubleshooting trees when available, or sound engineering judgment when predefined paths are not available.
  • Partner with technicians to investigate, test, and resolve vehicle or engine-related issues.
  • Track technical issues with clear documentation, including investigation steps, outcomes, next actions, and communication to engineers, technicians, and customers.
  • Support vehicle validation activities by collecting data, overriding engine conditions, and documenting issues identified during testing.
  • Use Calterm and other engineering tools to download ECM software and calibrations with support from the broader engineering team.
  • Create or improve communication and documentation methods as needed based on the work scope.

Are you an experienced vehicle troubleshooting professional ready to make an impact?

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting vehicles, ideally heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, engines, or powertrain systems.
  • Background as a heavy-duty technician, service technician, service writer/advisor, field service specialist, validation technician, or similar technical role.
  • Strong technical problem-solving ability with the judgment to diagnose issues independently when a defined troubleshooting path is not available.
  • Experience working with engines, ECMs, vehicle electronics, controls, or related systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in a structured corporate environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to clearly track issues, summarize outcomes, and keep engineers, technicians, and customers aligned.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple open issues, and stay organized in a hands-on validation environment.
  • Familiarity with Calterm or similar diagnostic/calibration tools is a strong plus.
