Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Instructor/System Operator (Computer Operator II)
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX
ATS is seeking a qualified EST Instructor/System Operator (Computer Operator II) to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Contract with simulator training support - position is contingent upon contract award. Provides concurrent lane coverage to support seven 5-lane systems. Ensures continuous lane execution, simulator operation and assisting in training events to include during surge or flex week scheduling. Supports the site lead and maintains the equipment and facilities as needed.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
1. Training Execution:
  • Operate EST II systems during standard and flex work weeks
  • Assist military personnel in preparation and presentation of weapons instruction
  • Operate computer control station for scenario sequencing
  • Assist with scenario playback and AAR development
  • Support weekend surge operations when directed
2. Train-the-Trainer:
  • Provide user certification training to ensure unit trainers are proficient
3. Preventive Maintenance:
  • Conduct daily preventive maintenance on consoles and weapons
  • Enter maintenance actions in TS-MATS, ensuring entries are accurate and timely
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of training facility
  • Conduct daily facility upkeep and equipment inspection
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient with EST II weapon simulator systems
  • Knowledge of Windows-based software
  • Troubleshooting skills in hardware/software systems
  • Ability to obtain CAC and meet installation security requirements
  • Instructional experience
  • Basic troubleshooting ability
