Work Schedule:
Onsite - Cleveland, OH
Our Team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Assembler/Tester to join them. You will report to the Production Supervisor and have an onsite, 1st or 2nd shift work schedule in Highland Heights, Ohio.
To be considered for this role, here's what you need to bring with you:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

As an Assembler/Tester, you will:
  • Make fiber optic cables and/or transceivers by assembling parts and assemblies using a variety of hand tools, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Assemble complete units of work and verify that finished parts or components to meet specifications.
  • Take precision measurements for perfect fit of components using manual and/or automated equipment.
  • Complete one or more phases of the assembly process (i.e. inspecting, cleaning, assembling, terminating, polishing, testing, and/or packing of the finished product).
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged or nonconforming assemblies to ensure full compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Follow test documentation to execute testing requirements.
  • Conduct tests using test equipment to determine functionality and pass/fail results.
  • Review and/or record test results (i.e. pass/fail) to determine whether the product meets specifications.
  • Complete set up, calibration and changeover of testing platforms in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, processes and established procedures to assemble parts according to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Handle material in a safe manner within an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) environment.
