Job description

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Penetration Tester with Splunk to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area. In this role, you be responsible for identifying network vulnerabilities in target systems and recommending defensive measures to defend against possible attack by an adversary. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Identify and demonstrate vulnerabilities that may be used by an adversary to exploit components of or the entire target systems.
* Lead the information assurance evaluation of target systems, including developing threat models, conducting security analysis and testing, demonstrating vulnerabilities and documenting the results. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar technical field and 10 years of penetration testing experience.
* One year of Splunk experience creating knowledge objects and robust queries/searches, along with creating reports and generating charts from the resulting queries/searches.
* Experience using tools such as nmap, nessus, dsniff, libnet, netcat, and network sniffers and fuzzers.
* Experience developing methods to defend against identified vulnerabilities and exploits. Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to use MS Office Ability to use PC

* Ability to plan, develop and execute information assurance evaluation tests and document test results in a formal document. Security Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Poly Physical Requirements: * Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
* Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
* The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
* The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
