Job description

Summary
Under the direction of the department manager, and in collaboration with perioperative manager, responsible for the planning, organization, maintenance and documentation of crucial surgical supplies needed within the Perioperative environment. Works in collaboration with the surgery and SCORe teams to ensure the needs of the patient, surgeon and perioperative team are met in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner. Is responsible for working in robust and challenging supply management systems to ensure appropriate supply levels and facilitate accurate patient charging. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers and physicians. Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent GED.
Licensure/Certification
Certified Registered Central Service Tech or Surgical Tech preferred, as applicable.
Experience
Supply distribution within the OR setting experience preferred. Shipping, receiving and inventory experience preferred. WMS or inventory systems experience preferred. Experience in complex supply distribution systems, charging, auditing and operating room preferred
Other Qualifications
Working knowledge, and comfortable with, various computer technology solutions. Must be able to navigate in point of use systems (POU) using several different types of technology including but not limited to: touchscreen, 2 bin, par and perpetual solutions. Must understand how solutions operate and integrate to provide supplies for patient care. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
